Who we are
Rated Roofers & Builders Ltd is a roofing and building contractor working across Surrey, South London and Sussex. You can reach us on 07950 188 685 or at info@ratedroofersandbuilders.co.uk. For data protection purposes we are the data controller for the information described here.
What we collect, and why
The only information this website collects is what you type into the enquiry form: your name, phone number, email address, an optional postcode, the type of work you need and your message. We use it for one thing, which is answering your enquiry and quoting for the work. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a marketing list.
Our lawful basis
We handle the details you send us on the basis of legitimate interests: you have asked us for a quote or for advice about work on your property, and we cannot reply without using what you gave us. We only ever use it to answer that enquiry and to keep a record of the job.
We do not use it for marketing, so there is nothing here you need to consent to and nothing to opt out of. If you would rather we stopped using your details, or you object to us holding them, say so at info@ratedroofersandbuilders.co.uk and we will stop.
Where it goes
Enquiries are delivered by Web3Forms, a form-to-email service, and arrive in our inbox. Web3Forms processes the submission on our behalf and stores a copy in our account. Their privacy notice is at web3forms.com/privacy.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for as long as we may need them for the job and for our own records, and no longer than six years, which is the period a contract dispute could be raised in. Ask us and we will delete yours sooner.
Cookies and measurement
This website loads Google Tag Manager, which is the container we use to run Google Analytics. Analytics tells us how many people visit, which pages they read, how they arrived and roughly which part of the country they are in, so we can see which pages are useful and which are not. It does that using cookies, which are small files your browser stores, and it counts you as a returning visitor if you come back.
We never send it your name, phone number, email address, postcode or anything you typed into the enquiry form. When an enquiry sends successfully the site records that an enquiry happened and what kind of work it was about, and nothing that identifies you. We do not use any of this to advertise to you on other websites.
If you would rather not be counted, every browser can block or delete cookies in its settings, and Google publishes an opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Blocking them does not stop any part of this website working.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you (access), ask us to correct it (rectification), ask us to delete it (erasure), ask us to restrict what we do with it, object to us holding it at all, or ask for it in a portable form. Email info@ratedroofersandbuilders.co.ukand we will respond within one month. If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
